Barbara Ann Smith-Singer, 63, of Kansas City, Kan., died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church in Lee's Summit. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, with burial in the Slater City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee's Summit with a Rosary to be said at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Born Oct. 4, 1940, in Kansas City, Kan., she was the daughter of the late David O. Smith and Frances Bichelmeyer Smith of Slater. She married Larry Singer, who survives of the home.
Additional survivors include three sons, Kirk Wales, Stanley Wales and wife Jessica, and Donald Scott Wales; two daughters, Natalie Jewell and husband David, and Crystal Wales; one stepdaughter, Emily Duffey of the Kansas City area; seven siblings, Alice Keller of the state of Alabama, Mary Helen Kirby of Slater, Michael Smith of Kansas City, Toni Page of Springfield, Greg Smith of Slater, Nancy Fisher of Springfield and Marty Smith of Columbia; 12 grandchildren, Corey, Blair, Garen, Heather, Lindsey, Megan, Sarah, BreeAnn, Joshua, Rachelle, Abby and Conner; two great-grandchildren, Collin and Damon; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
