Jerry Van Dice, 50, of Sedalia, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Mike Redman will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jim Dice, John Dice, Eugene Dice, Daniel Dice, Calvin Blumhorst and Jerry Richart. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Open Door Baptist Church.
Born Sept. 17, 1953, in Maysville, he was the son of the late Earnest Dice and Pauline VanHooser Dice. He was raised in Blackburn and lived the last seven years in Sedalia. He was a 1971 graduate of Santa Fe High School in Alma and has been a member of the Methodist church in Blackburn. He had served in the U.S. Army for three years in Germany and was a sergeant when he came out of the service.
Survivors include three brothers, Eugene Dice and wife Lois of Blackburn, Jim Dice and wife Rhonda of Emma, and John Dice and wife Janice of Marshall; one sister, Paula Blumhorst and husband Calvin of Gas City, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ellen Dice.
