William D. "Bill" Pabst, 76, of Marshall, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall. Father Kevin Gormley will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bill Pace, Mike Pace, Clarence Wisnoski, Joshua Pabst, Melissa Eilers, Michael Eilers and Paul Shoemaker. Honorary pallbearer will be Russell Pollard. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, with a prayer service following at 8 p.m. at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church or American Cancer Society.
Born Sept. 4, 1927, in Clifton City, he was the son of the late Emil Joseph Pabst and Cecilia Lorenz Pabst, who survives of Sedalia. On Jan. 14, 1950, he married Norma Weiss, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall since 1950 and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and a 3rd degree lifetime member of Knights of Columbus Council 876. He was also a member of Pioneers of Southwestern Bell Company. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Barbara Eilers and husband Glenn of Marshall; one son, Donald Wayne Pabst and wife Kathy of Marshall; two sisters, Margie Kruse of Sedalia and JoAnn Kramer of Topeka, Kan.; three grandchildren, Michael Eilers, Melissa Eilers and Joshua Pabst; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Ann Kempf.
