Evelyn Estelle Carver Leddy, 74, of Gainesville, Fla., formerly of Marshall Junction, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home in Gainesville. Bishop James W. Carver will officiate. The family will recieve friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Meadows-East, Gainesville. Born July 28, 1930, in the state of Florida, she was the daughter of the late Edgar A. Carver and Lillian Griffin Carver. She received her nursing degree from Alachua General Hospital School of Nursing. She retired from Alachua General Hospital as head nurse of labor and delivery after 25 years of service. She worked at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for many years while she lived in Marshall Junction.
Survivors include one daughter, Lenore A. Leddy of Saint Augustine, Fla.; two brothers, Richmond L. Carver and H. Lexton Carver; one granddaughter; and many neices and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers; and one sister.
