Everett Huston Shepard, 76, of rural Napton, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville with military rites at graveside. William W. Harlow will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
Born Sept. 19, 1927, in Saline County, he was the son of the late Everett W. Shepard and Beulah Johnson Shepard. He had lived in Saline County his entire life and was a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include two sisters, Margaret Rinkert of Kansas City and Mary Dickson of Odessa; one brother, Kenneth Shepard of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Shepard and James Shepard.
