Junior Lavern "J.L." Henderson, 66, of Marshall, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Martha Patterson will be the soloist. Pallbearers will be Kevin Moore, Shawn Green, Jeff Canon, Steve Riley, Mike Riley, Jeremy Henderson and Jason Henderson. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the charity of donors' choice.
Born June 5, 1938, in Greenville, he was the son of the late Joseph Lee Henderson and Virgie Irene Payton Henderson. He had lived in Marshall since 1993, moving from St. Louis. He was an aircraft electrical engineer for McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis, retiring in 1993 after 36 years of service. He was a graduate of Malta Bend High School.
Survivors include one son, Tim Henderson and wife Shonna of Marshall; five brothers, Wayne Henderson of Marshall, Gene Henderson of Marshall, Dale Henderson of Marysville, Kan., Bobby Henderson of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Rick Henderson of Marshall; three sisters, Mary Canon of Sedalia, Carolyn Riley of Marshall and Virginia Henderson of Sedalia; three grandchildren, Ryan Henderson, Kayla Henderson and Taylor Henderson, all of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
