Margarete Elizabeth Roscher, 95, of Sweet Springs, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Sweet Springs. Rev. Dennis Bell will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kenny Roscher, Mike Roscher, Pat Roscher, Richard Roscher, Todd Anderson and Scott Piper. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Born Feb. 19, 1909, in Pettis County, she was the daughter of the late John Clay Buie and Maggie Baldus Buie. On Dec. 23, 1927, she married Charley Louis Roscher, who survives. She had lived in Saline County most of her life and was a cook at the V Restaurant in Sweet Springs for 18 years. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Sweet Springs.
Additional survivors include two sons, Bill Roscher of Kansas City and Richard Roscher of Sweet Springs; eight grandchildren, Mike Roscher, Pat Roscher, Kenny Roscher, Tina Anderson, Doug Roscher, Tammy Piper, Amber Roscher and Jennifer Roscher; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Charles Roscher, four sisters and three brothers.
