Memorial services were held on July 19, at the Court Appointed Special Advocates' office in Kansas City. Burial was July 26, in the family plot in Lawrence, Kan.
Born in Feb. 25, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Bessie Saffran of Kansas City. In 1936, in Kansas City, she married Herman Lowenstein, who preceded her in death July 14, 1999. She lived in Marshall for 22 years. She was a homemaker, active volunteer and served on the Court Appointed Special Advocates board.
Survivors include one son, Harold "Hal" Lowenstein of Kansas City; one brother, James Saffran of Larkspur, Calif.; one sister, Barbara Stern of Mission Hills, Kan., and 3 grandchildren.
