Arthur L. Krumsiek, 56, of Gilliam, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 17, at First Baptist Church in Glasgow. Rev. Tom Rowland will officiate. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 16, at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Burial with military honors will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial.
Born Aug. 11, 1947, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Robert Krumsiek and Gloria Stone Krumsiek, who survives of Laurie. On April 29, 1994, in Miami, he married Carolyn Reynolds Hensley, who survives of the home. He was a member of Gilliam Baptist Church, the Missouri River Valley Steam Engine Association and American Legion Post No. 78 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4365, both in Slater. He was also a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. He was a farmer and owned and operated C & A Restoration and Repair in Gilliam.
Additional survivors include one brother, Mikel Krumsiek of Laurie; one son, William Krumsiek of Slater; one daughter, Marion Johnson of Glasgow; one stepson, Rob Karashin of Osburn, Wash.; one stepdaughter, Christy Mondry of Osawatomie, Kan.; two grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother.
