James Harold McCorkle, 87, formerly of Marshall, died Friday, July 2, 2004, in Raymore.
Cremation. No services will be held.
Born Sept. 23, 1916, in Guymon, Okla., he was the son of the late Benjamin Rea McCorkle and Mary Ethel Harris McCorkle. On Nov. 9, 1936, he married Audrey Mae Mitchell, who preceded him in death Feb. 9, 1998. He lived in Marshall and Blackwater all his married life until 1992, when he moved to Olathe, Kan.
Survivors include one daughter, Rose Mary Broadway and husband Michael of Raymore; one brother, Junior Virgil McCorkle of Forest Grove, Ore.; three grandchildren, Kandy Powers of Liberty, Corky Roth of Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Chad Broadway of Belton; eight great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one grandson in infancy; one sister, Alpha Marie Hufford of Marshall; two brothers, Ralph McCorkle of Springdale, Ark., and Benson McCorkle of Lee's Summit.
