Mendell Elson of Miami will talk about his no-till farm on location, and Slater farmer Jim Klasing will join him.
Also set to speak are natural resources specialist Dan Towery and Dave Schertz, retired national agronomist for Natural Resources Conservation Service. They will discuss adopting no-till and buffer systems, their environmental impact, the transitional period of converting to the new system, incentives through the Environmental Quality Incentive Program and carbon trading.
A free meal will be provided. The event will start at 8 a.m. and end around 3:30 p.m.
