Howard E. Bledsoe, 77, of Marshall, died Friday, June 18, 2004, at Mar-Saline Manor Care Center in Marshall.
Graveside services with military honors were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 21, at Slater City Cemetery. Rev. Robert Sisney officiated. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.
Born Nov. 15, 1926, in Rocheport, he was the son of the late Everett Ray and Gladys Taggart Bledsoe. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired quality control representative with the Blue Cross-Blue Shield Insurance company, working in Kansas City and Springfield until his retirement.
Survivors include one son, Howard T. Bledsoe of Blue Springs; one sister, Katherine Fisher of Independence; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Archie Bledsoe.
