Ruth S. Berry, 93, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Sedalia and Kansas City, died Saturday, June 5, 2004, in Texas.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 12, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Rev. Tracy Cook will officiate. Graveside services will be held at noon Saturday at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall.
Born July 22, 1910, in Bidwell, she was the daughter of the late Claude A. Smith and Louettie Butcher Smith. She was a graduate of Lebanon High School in Lebanon. She returned to San Antonio in 1998, previously living in Sedalia and Kansas City. She was a homemaker and while living in Kansas City, worked at Katz Drug Store. She was a member of Westover Hills Assembly of God Church in San Antonio.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice Cordes and husband Wesley of Helotes, Texas; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, James Smith of Higginsville; one sister, Galena Hartman of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Berry, and six brothers and sisters.
