Floyd C. "Bill" Mitchell, 93, of Marshall, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Mar-Saline Manor Care Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 4, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Robert Sweeten will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the Christian Comrades Flower Fund.
Born Feb. 19, 1911, in Hickory County, he was the son of the late Albert Mitchell and Mary Viola Brown Mitchell. On Oct. 18, 1938, he married Goldie F. McClure, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall since 1939, moving from Hickory County, and was a retired carpenter. He was a member of First Christian Church in Marshall and its Christian Comrades Class.
Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bert Mitchell, and four sisters, Eula Morgan, Mamie Creach, Alberta Robbins and Alpha Miller.
