Juanita Leimkuehler, 75, of Slater, died Friday, May 14, 2004, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2004, at Salem United Church of Christ. Rev. Robert Sisney officiated. Organist Bethany Weiker accompanied Robert Sisney as he sang "The Old Rugged Cross." She also played "In the Garden." Pallbearers were Ronnie Leimkuehler, William Jacobson, Kenny Leimkuehler, Troy Jacobson, Levi Dennis and Charles W. Thomason. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church cemetery in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.
Born Nov. 27, 1928, in Dalton, she was the daughter of the late Charles G. and Beulah Day Andrews. On Nov. 27, 1950, at Salem United Church of Christ, she married Amiel A. Leimkuehler, who survives of the home. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ and a lifelong Slater area resident.
Additional survivors include two sons, Ronnie Lee Leimkuehler of Slater and Kenneth P. Leimkuehler of the home; two daughters, Kathy A. Jacobson of Slater and Lisa L. Leimkuehler of Marshall; one brother, Larry Andrews of Platte City; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Mickey G. Leimkuehler.
