Benton West Fox, 66, of rural Blackwater, formerly of Marshall, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at his home.
Cremation. Memorial graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at Nelson Cemetery. Father Kevin Gormley will officiate. Memorials are suggested to the Saline Animal League in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born Jan. 11, 1938, in Macon, he was the son of the late Howard L. Fox and Ruth Cobb Fox. He married Shirley Alfrey Fox, who survives of the home. Until his retirement, he owned and operated B.W. Fox Monument Works in Marshall. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Diana Fox Jackson of Copenhagen, Denmark, and Kimberly Strausbaugh of Omaha, Neb.; one son, Tim Fox of Marshall; one stepdaughter, Nicole Siefkas Howery of Marshall; four brothers, Jim Fox of Jefferson City, Dan Fox of the state of Texas, Sam Fox of the state of Colorado and Tom Fox of Little Rock, Ark.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
