Josephine Keyton, 91, of Marshall, died Friday, April 23, 2004, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. N. Paul Callahan and Rev. Vernon Maxted will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Pallbearers will be Kent Thomas, Jonathan Thomas, David Brown, Keith Daleen, Michael Miller and Charles McLeod. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
Born Sept. 23, 1912, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Monroe Thomas and Sue Eades Thomas. On Oct. 19, 1941, she married Clifford E. Keyton, who preceded her in death July 14, 1985. She returned to Marshall in 1975, moving from Mexico, where she had lived from 1941 to 1975. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Marshall and was a homemaker. She was a member of Friends of Arrow Rock, Marshall Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and the Saline County Historical Society.
Survivors include one brother, Harvey M. Thomas of Liberty; one sister, Rebekah Gieringer of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
