Nadine Lillian Gardner, 69, of Bates City, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at Oak Grove Nursing Home in Oak Grove.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at First Baptist Church in Grain Valley. Pastor Ed Bell will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church in Grain Valley.
Born July 31, 1934, in Green County, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Owen Wolf and Edith G. Mobley Wolf. She married William M. Wolfe, who preceded her in death in 1973. On May 7, 1974, in Blue Springs, she married Norman Robert Gardner, who survives of the home. She worked for Lake City Ammunition Plant and had worked for Action Products in Odessa and Chesterfield Farms in Chesterfield. She graduated from high school in Bayard, Iowa, in 1953 and had lived in Bates City since 1969.
Additional survivors include three sons, Mike Wolfe of Lee's Summit, Randy Wolfe of Bates City and Don Wolfe of Olathe, Kan; two stepdaughters, Terri Stallman of Independence and Robin Rupp of Grain Valley; two brothers, Jake Wolfe of Marshall and Terry Wolfe of Waukee, Iowa; four sisters, Louise Turner of Tuttle, Okla., Marlyn Haeberlein of Scranton, Iowa, Margaret Hammontree of Cape Fair and Pat Quissenberry of Seymour.
In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernie and Ken Wolf, and two sisters, Evelyn Creese and Leeann Becker.
