Marguerite Georgia Witt Cline, 78, of Hickman Mills, formerly of Miami, died Sunday, April 4, 2004, at a hospital in Kansas City.

No services were held. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 6700 Antioch, Shawnee Mission, KS 66204.

Born Feb. 20, 1928, in Miami, she was the daughter of the late Rosco and Edwige Witt. She graduated from Slater High School in 1945 and then attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg. On Jan. 11, 1947, she married William Homer Cline, who survives of Hickman Mills. She was employed by Bendix Corporation in Kansas City for 30 years.

Additional survivors include one daughter, Ann Marie Wilson of Oak Grove; one sister, Andreé Peterson of Slater; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one stepgranddaughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Witt.
