Susie Lee Hillman, 87, of Oak Grove, formerly of Marshall, died Sunday, April 11, 2004, at Bristol Manor in Oak Grove.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, at First Baptist Church in Marshall. Rev. Wayne Doolin will officiate. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Centralia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the building fund at First Baptist Church in Marshall.
Born Sept. 5, 1916, in Clarksville, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Zelma Thompson Beauchamp. In June 27, 1937, she married Herbert L. Hillman, who preceded her in death. She and her husband had lived in Marshall upon retirement from 27 years of farming near Centralia. While living in Marshall for about 25 years, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Marshall and its choir.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Hubbard of Mountain View; one son, Wayne Hillman of Overland Park, Kan.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Schrader; two brothers, Jay and Teddy Beauchamp; two sisters, Martha Beauchamp and Myona Malone; and one grandchild, Robert Wayne Hillman.
