Brenda Sue Weaver, 38, of Marshall, formerly of Malta Bend, died Thursday, April 1, 2004, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall. Father Kevin Gormley will officiate. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 2, at the church. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Pallbearers will be Mark Tobin, Mike Teeter, Del Teeter, Greg Dennis, Ed Dennis, Joe Sadewhite, David Coslet and David King. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church capital campaign or Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born March 21, 1966, in Marshall, she was the daughter of James F. Weaver and Joyce Tobin Weaver, who survive of rural Malta Bend. She had lived in Saline County her entire life and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. She taught at Miami R-1 School for 14 years. She was a 1984 graduate of Malta Bend R-5 High School and a 1989 graduate of Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, where she received a bachelor of science degree in education.
Additional survivors include one sister, Katie Weaver of Lee's Summit; three brothers, James Y. Weaver and wife Ashley of Marshall, Russell Weaver and wife Selena of Boonville and John Weaver and wife Stacy of Marshall; several aunts, uncles and cousins; three nephews, Jordan Weaver, Landon Weaver and Evan Weaver; and one niece, Leah Clare Weaver.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Sherrer.
