Annabelle Renison, 86, of rural Nelson, died Monday, March 29, 2004, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 1, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Don Simmons will officiate. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Pallbearers will be Howard Aldredge, Herbie Cumpton, Bill Davis, Bill Pointer, Gary Griffith and Ed Werneke. Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult Women's Sunday school class from New Salem Baptist Church. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to New Salem Baptist Church.
Born Nov. 3, 1917, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late C.M. Sellers Jr. and Blanche Walker Sellers. On July 30, 1939, in Sweet Springs, she married James R. "Buster" Renison, who preceded her in death Aug. 11, 1997. She had lived in rural Nelson most of her life and was a lifelong member of New Salem Baptist Church in Marshall Junction, where she had served as financial secretary for 29 years, served as Sunday school superintendent, taught Sunday school and was a member of the Women's Missionary Union.
Survivors include two daughters, June Elaine Hieronymus of rural Nelson and Deanna Beth Harbit of Windsor; one brother, Frank Sellers of Sedalia; one sister, Ruth Jackson of Marshall; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
