Bernard "Bernie" Wiley Gray, 78, of Marshall, died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at Apple Ridge Care Center in Waverly.
Cremation. Memorial services will be held at 11 am. Wednesday, March 24, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall. Father Kevin Gormley will officiate. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. A rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery in rural Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the St. Peter Church Building Fund or the charity of donor's choice.
Born Aug. 6, 1925, in Kansas City, he was the son of the late Darrell Gray and Philomena Snipes Gray. On June 26, 1948, at Annunciation Catholic Church in Kansas City, he married Dorothy Reynolds, who survives of the home. He was a plumber and member of Plumbers Union Local 8 in Kansas City for more than 50 years. He was also a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall.
Additional survivors include two sons, Kenneth Gray and wife Judy of Gravois Mills and Daniel Gray of Marshall; two daughters, Vicki Spencer and husband Earle of Fountain, Colo., and Marlisa Kofsky and husband Martin of Miami Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Peter Gray, Pamela Weaver, Shannon Grindinger, Christopher Spencer, Christina Williams, Carman and Danielle Gray, both of Marshall, and Morgan Kofsky and Hillary Kofsy; and 11 great-grandchildren.
