Clara Mae Bonar Page, 84, Slater, died Friday, March 12, 2004, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral service were held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 15, at Slater United Methodist Church. Rev. Jerry Geisert officiated. Organist Bethany Weiker played "The Old Rugged Cross," "Amazing Grace" and "In the Garden." Pallbearers were Mark Chamberlin, Matt Chamberlin, John Chamberlin, Carl Bonar, Craig Bonar and Christian Bonar. Burial was in Slater City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church.
Born Oct. 12, 1919, in Ripley County, she was the daughter of the late Kerry L. and Ethel Mae Yount Ellis. On Oct. 21, 1936, she married Forest H. Bonar, who preceded her in death Sept. 12, 1970. On Aug. 3, 1974, she married Linwood Page, who survives of the home. She was a member of Slater United Methodist Church, its Kum Join Us Sunday school class, Ruth Circle and United Methodist Women. She was a longtime resident of the Slater area.
Additional survivors include two sons, Forest E. Bonar of Lathrop and Donald Bonar of Sweet Springs; one daughter, Ramona Chamberlin of Green Ridge; four stepchildren; one brother, James Ellis of Hurst, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers.
