Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Pastor Douglas A. Dubisar will officiate. Pianist Julie Lewis will accompany Randy Shannon as he sings "I Can Only Imagine" and "Amazing Grace." Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Pallbearers will be George Clemens, Richard Clemens, Glenn Miller, Dan Weber, Grant Weber and Glenn Miller II. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or the MS Institute in care of University Hospital in Columbia.
Born June 2, 1919, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late George Louis Weber and Clara Ruth Chevalier Weber. On Sept. 21, 1940, she married Carl V. West, who preceded her in death Feb. 5, 1981. She had lived in the Marshall community her entire life and was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall. She was director of student financial aid at Missouri Valley College for 20 years and she and her husband had been engaged in farming for many years. She was active in Meals on Wheels. She was a member and past president of the Sorosis Club and a member of the American Business Women's Association. She served as a Republican election judge for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice A. Cromley and husband Gerald of Columbia and Sally W. Wade and husband Mitchell of Los Angeles, Calif.; one son, Craig A. West and wife Deborah of Austin, Texas; one sister, Lorine Miller of Marshall; one brother, George W. "Bud" Weber of rural Marshall; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Brittany and Joshua West and Gordon and Meredith Wade; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ruth West, one son, Gary V. West, and one sister, Ruby Clemens.
