Joel Tinoco, 21, of Waverly, died Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Waverly United Methodist Church. Rev. Robert "Padre" Payne will officiate. Pallbearers will be Daniel Tinoco, Willy Tena, Cesario Tinoco, Marcelino Tinoco, Apolinar Tinoco, Agustin Tinoco, Luis Martinez, Ramon Gordillo, Enrique Martinez and Miguel Garcia. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Waverly Cemetery in Waverly. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Born Sept. 16, 1982, in Kansas City, he was the son of Moises "Pato" Tinoco and Leonor Martinez Tinoco, who both survive of the home. He had lived in Waverly his entire life. He worked at Excel Corp. in Marshall, previously working for Peters Orchards in Waverly and as a manager at Taco Bell in Marshall.
Additional survivors include three brothers, Daniel Tinoco, Ruben Tinoco and Andy Tinoco, all of the home; paternal grandparents, Agustin and Teresa Tinoco of Phoenix, Ariz.; maternal grandfather, Felix Martinez of Morelia Michoacan, Mexico; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
