Marshall Conway, 83, of Marshall, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 7, at Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in Marshall. Bishop E.T. Sims will officiate. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Marshall and from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs.
Born Sept. 19, 1920, in Union Hill, he was the son of the late Arthur and Sarah Slaughter Conway. He married Elsie Conway, who survives of Marshall. He was a farmer and worked as a custodian at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
Additional survivors include one son, Robert Conway of Kansas City; one sister, Christine Conway of Marshall; one brother, Benny Conway of Davenport, Iowa; two grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
