Mary Maxine Bryan, 83, of Chillicothe, formerly of Wheeling, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Friends may call from 8 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wheeling Cemetery in Wheeling. Born May 2, 1920, in Marshall Junction, she was the daughter of the late John Bellwood and Mary Elizabeth Hess Ezell. On Aug. 19, 1942, in Kirksville, she married Derrel A. Bryan, who survives of the home. She was a 1938 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia and attended Missouri Valley College in Marshall. She was a homemaker and teacher and had lived in Wheeling since the 1940s. She was a member of Longwood Methodist Church in Longwood.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Diane Jackson of Stilwell, Kan.; one brother, John Bellwood Ezell Jr. of Marshall Junction; one granddaughter; three nephews; and one niece.
