Barbara Maupin, 85, of Marshall, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2004, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Music will be provided by pianist Julie Lewis. Pallbearers will be Robbie Gibbons, Chad Maupin, Troy Maupin, Jeffery Puglisi, Joey Nelson, Trent Croka and Joe Carney. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Gibbons, Dave Puglisi, John Wiesler, Bob Smith, Herb Gates, Jackie Gates and Kyle Nelson. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Born Sept. 16, 1918, in Bevier, she was the daughter of the late Edward James Hill and Effie Mae Overby Hill. On March 3, 1939, she married Charles Gordon Maupin, who preceded her in death Sept. 26, 1982. She had lived in Marshall most of her life. She was a nurse for over 40 years, working many years at Marshall Professional Clinic. She was a 1933 graduate of Bevier High School.
Survivors include four daughters, Tonni Gibbons of St. Louis, Pam Egan of Marshall, Kathy VanBuskirk of Marshall and Mindy Smith of the home; one son, Butch Maupin of Shackelford; seven grandchildren, Chad Maupin and Troy Maupin, both of Marshall, Kindal Smith of the home, Robbie Gibbons of St. Louis, and Angie Driscoll, Kelly Puglisi and Kim Wiesler, all of St. Louis; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters.
