Gary Garrison, 50, of rural Waverly, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Ancel Compton will officiate. Music will be "Peace in the Valley," "Go Rest High" and "Amazing Grace." Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Joe Narron, Bob Butts, Nick Smith, J.R. Jasper, Steve Jasper and Mark Jasper. Honorary pallbearers are Tony Howe and Rodney Smith. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Urbana. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Born July 2, 1953, in Celt, he was the son of the late Amos Garrison and Chloree Williams Garrison, who survives of Buckner. On July 8, 1981, he married Donna Martin, who survives of the home. He had lived in Saline and Lafayette counties most of his life and was a member of the Assembly of God church. He was a housekeeper at Kelling Clinic and a housekeeping supervisor at Apple Ridge Care Center in Waverly.
Additional survivors include one son, Christopher Alan Garrison of the home; one daughter, Jennifer Kay Garrison of Waverly; one sister, Shirley Dieckhoff of Independence; one brother, Larry Garrison of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
