Delia E. DeGroodt, 91, of Conoga Park, Calif., formerly of Saline County, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, at West Hills Hospital in West Hills, Calif.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall. Private burial services will be in Slater City Cemetery.

Born Jan. 5, 1913, in Miami, she was the daughter of the late Marshall Hightower and Mary Chesser Hightower. She married Ernest Wise, who preceded her in death in 1947. She then married Clement L. DeGroodt, who preceded her in death July 13, 1984. She was a California resident for many years and had been employed in the aerospace industry before her retirement. She was also a Catholic.

Survivors include one sister, Mildred Warren of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers.
