Hazel Agnes Cott, 84, of Miami, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, in Boonville.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, at Fish Creek Cemetery in Saline County. William W. Harlow will officiate. Burial will be in Fish Creek Cemetery in Saline County. Memorials are suggested to the Billy Graham Crusade in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born June 18, 1919, in the Fish Creek area of Saline County, she was the daughter of the late Richard Albert Huff and Mary Jewell Netherton Huff. On Nov. 27, 1936, she married Lawrence William Cott, who preceded her in death Jan. 18, 1981. She had lived in Miami since 1960, moving from rural Slater.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Vale Jones and husband Howard of rural Slater and Margaret Louise Cott of Miami; three sons, Philip Winn Cott and wife Mary of Benton City, Lawrence Stanley "Larry" Cott of Miami and Christopher Solomon Cott of Madison, Wis.; three brothers, Horace A. Huff of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Richard F. Huff of Springfield and Harry R. Huff of St. Louis; one sister, Doris Cott of Slater; three grandchildren, Timothy Lynn Cott, Jennifer Parsons and Anne-Marie Zarrelli; three stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Ann Cott, and one sister, Frances Grace Huff Cott.
