Cheryl Lynn "Cheri" Dollens, 52, of Blackburn, formerly of Marshall, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Karen Sims will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Honorary pallbearers will be Bernie Newton, Greg Dollens, Gary Dollens, David Dollens, Bob Dollens, Jerry Dollens, Howard Dollens, Dale Schroer and Frank Boyd. Private burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Mexico. Memorials are suggested to Blackburn Community Builders.
Born May 4, 1951, in Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Richard Crump and Lillian Fry Crump Patton. She was raised by William Patton. On June 7 1969, she married Charles E. Dollens, who survives of the home. She had lived in Blackburn the last eight years, moving from Marshall. She was city clerk for Blackburn the last year and had worked at Excel in Marshall. She was a graduate of Community R-VI High School in Laddonia.
Additional survivors include paternal grandmother, Olga Patton of Mexico; one son, Dale Edward "Eddie' Dollens and wife Karen of Enterprise, Ala.; one daughter, Kimberly Marie Dollens-Scherry and husband Nacoma of Jefferson City; one sister, Terry Schroer of Rhineland; two brothers, Steve Patton of Montgomery City and Greg Patton of Gasconade; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, one grandson, one sister and one brother.
