Ella Mae Pannell Mask, 81, of Hattiesburg, Miss., formerly of San Antonio, Texas, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at Eisenhour Road Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas. Visitation will be from 10 to noon Jan. 5 at the church. Burial will be in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Memorials are suggested to Eisenhour Road Baptist Church, 3959 Eisenhour Road, San Antonio, TX 78218. Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg is in charge of arrangements.
Born April 1, 1922, in Sweet Springs, she was the daughter of the late Frank Wallace Pannell Jr. and Julia Catherine Bakert. She married Billy Mask, who survives of the home. She was a retired nurse and charter member of Eisenhour Road Baptist Church. She was also a U.S. Army veteran.
Additional survivors include one son, U.S. Army SSG William Vaughan "Vic" Mask of Augusta, Ga.; one daughter, Nina Mask Mixon of Hattiesburg, Miss.; one sister, Thelma Dewitt of Marshall; two brothers, Loye Pannell of Springdale, Ark., and Loyd Pannell of Marshall; and one grandchild.
