Charles W. Fitzgerald, 93, of Marshall, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at Mar-Saline Manor Care Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Pianist Jane Kelly will play "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "The Lord's Prayer." Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Pallbearers will be Jerry Hedrick, Chuck Hird, Ed Gordon, Allan Jensen, Bedford Knipschild, Al Bunch and Don Rutter. Memorials are suggested to the Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra or Marshall Municipal Band.
Born Dec. 7, 1910, in Eldon, he was the son of the late William Benjamin Fitzgerald and Minnie M. Gansloser Fitzgerald. On May 28, 1939, he married Hazel Lucille Harre, who preceded him in death Sept. 9, 1988. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Marshall. He was an electrician for Saline Electric and had worked at KMMO and as a projectionist as the Marshall Auditorium Theater in Marshall. He was a former member of the Marshall Photography Club and a supporter of the Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra and Marshall Municipal Band.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
