Eddie Joe Lair, 69, of Marshall, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. N. Paul Callahan will officiate. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Pallbearers will be Jim Woodworth, Bruce Lair, Danny Guffey, Randall Luna, Gary Garner and Ricky Martin. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall with military rites at graveside. Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
Born June 23, 1934, in Hocomo, he was the son of the late Carl M. Lair an Ruby Kenslow Lair. On May 27, 1956, he married Bonnie Greer, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall since 1964, moving from West Plains. He retired as office manager with MFA Livestock and had served in the U.S. Army.
Additional survivors include two sons, Danny Lair and Steve Lair, both of Marshall; one daughter, Amber Adcock of rural Marshall; one brother, Jerry Lair of West Plains; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
