Laverne Clark, 68, of Blackburn, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Mark Gooden will officiate. Pianist Julie Lewis will play "I'll Fly Away" and "When We All Get to Heaven." Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the Marshall Family Worship Center or Blackburn Community Builders.
Born March 20, 1935, in Rolla, she was the daughter of the late Howard E. Jones and Virginia Leek Jones. On July 5, 1952, she married Alfred L. Clark, who survives of the home. She had lived in Blackburn the last three years, previously living in Warsaw and Marshall for many years. She was a member of Marshall Family Worship Center and Blackburn Community Builders. She was a nurse at Fitzgibbon Hospital for many years and had worked at Cox North Medical Center and Home Health in Springfield.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Karen Sims of Blackburn and Peggy Fischer of Blackburn; one brother, Dale Jones of Green Ridge; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Randall Alfred Clark.
