Daisy Belle Watson Kurtz, 99, of Raymore, formerly of Sweet Springs, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at Raymore Health Care in Raymore.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at the funeral home. Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to Sweet Springs First Baptist Church or Fairview Cemetery.
Born April 9, 1904, in Nelson, she was the daughter of the late Charles Watson and Edith Griffith Watson. On Feb. 19, 1927, she married Walter "Bob" Kurtz, who preceded her in death Jan. 30, 1984. She attended school and grew up in Sedalia. She lived all her married life in the Sweet Springs area and had resided at Raymore Health Care in Raymore since 1996. She was a member of Sweet Springs First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Bobbie Charles Kurtz of Peculiar and Bill Kenneth Kurtz of Osage Beach; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five siblings.
