Dorothy A. Harrison, 84, of Slater, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at St. Paul Freewill Baptist Church in Slater. Bishop Carl Branch will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.
Born May 5, 1919, in Blackburn, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Alice Guthrie Parker. On Sept. 9, 1950, she married Coy W. "Jock" Harrison, who preceded her in death Jan. 19, 1978. She was a member of Mount Calvary Free Will Baptist Church in Marshall and a former member of St. Paul Freewill Baptist Church in Slater, where she served as an usher and on the Mothers' Board.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Moran of Kansas City; six grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by eight brothers and four sisters.
