Marjorie Elizabeth Peterson, 90, of Marshall, died Dec. 1, 2003, at The Living Center.

Cremation. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church. Rev. Norma Marchand will officiate. Memorials are suggested to the church or Hazel Grove Cemetery Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.

Born April 18, 1913, in Herndon, she was the daughter of the late Will H. Malott and Edith Riggins Malott. She lived in the Marshall area her entire life, except for a time when she lived in California. In 1932, she married R.O. Peterson, who preceded her in death in March 1975. She was a homemaker and member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Women's Jefferson Democratic Club and Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sons, William A. Peterson and Robert W. Peterson, both of Marshall; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one nephew.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Alice Hutson, and one nephew.
