Mary "Hallene" Gauldin, 82, of rural Malta Bend, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, at Union Baptist Church in Saline County. Rev. Tim Smith and William W. Harlow will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jerry Boedeker, Ross Day, Ross Dowell, Shannon Dowell, Kevin Yost, Joe Miller, Darren Pannier, Justin Malter and Ronnie Plattner. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Union Baptist Church or Union Cemetery.
Born June 16, 1921, in Sedalia, she was the daughter of the late Herbert T. Lunbeck and Mary Rebecca Morton Lunbeck. On April 5, 1941, she married Charles G. Gauldin, who preceded her in death Sept. 22, 1981. She had lived in Saline County most of her life and was a homemaker and member of Union Baptist Church. She was also a 1939 graduate of Malta Bend High School.
Survivors include two daughters, Patsy Boedeker and husband Jerome of rural Marshall and Judy Schroeder and husband Roger of rural Marshall; two sisters, Marge McClain of Independence and Linda Musser of Blytheville, Ark.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one son-in-law, Glendell Dowell of rural Miami; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Cheenie Dowell; one great-granddaughter, Jillian Boedeker; and one brother, William T. Lunbeck.
