Loraine E. Dennis, 91, of Marshall, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall. Father Kevin Gormley and Rev. Richard Luebbering will officiate. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Cheryl Anne McClain, Lori Joan Schwegmann, Karen Sue Owen, Barbara Kay Nelson, Kathleen Klasing, Jill Ann Barnhill-Byrd, Kimberly Ann Yates-Hruby and Jennifer Marie Yates. Honorary pallbearer will be the late Lesley Wilson. Memorials are suggested to the St. Peter Catholic Church Capital Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
Born Sept. 20, 1912, in Chamois, she was the daughter of the late Edmund Boillot and Mary Buchot Boillot. On April 22, 1933, she married Leslie Dennis, who survives of the home. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall. She retired from the International Shoe Company after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Legion of Mary.
Additional survivors include one son, Billy Edward Dennis of East Peoria, Ill.; five daughters, Phyllis Marcum of Marshall, Mary Wilson of Bella Vista, Ark., Helen Klasing of Warrenton, Judy Barnhill of Marshall and Barbara Yates of Marshall; one brother, Edmund Boillot of Marshall; one sister, Helen Dennis of Marshall; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, and one sister, Evelyn Harvey.
