Commissioners OK vacation time extension

Friday, November 14, 2003

The Saline County Commission Friday approved extending vacation time through the end of the year for Terri Gates, bookkeeper at the Saline County Health Office. The commissioners said Gates was unable to take vacation time because she was too busy filling out paperwork for flu vaccinations this season.

Also Friday, the commission approved a readjustment for a grant to the Saline County Juvenile Office because there was no change.

On Thursday, the commission reported $4,344 was paid for housing prisoners from other counties and Slater at the Saline County Criminal Justice Center during October.

Slater paid $2,382 to the center for housing prisoners and Lafayette County paid $1,215, the highest amount among four counties billed for the service.
