Ruby M. Gehlken, 87, of Sweet Springs, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation.
Born July 18, 1916, in Conway, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Walter L. Wilmoth and Elva Holt Wilmoth. On March 23, 1963, in Kansas City, she married Herbert L. Gehlken, who survives of the home. She had lived in Sweet Springs since 1963, moving from St. Charles. She was a Lutheran and a homemaker.
Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
