Joy Marie Franks, 26, of Sedalia, formerly of Saline County, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, in Sedalia.

Memorial services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at First Baptist Church in Sweet Springs. William W. Harlow officiated. Pianist Julie Lewis accompanied Janet Scott as she sang "In the Garden" and "I'll Fly Away." Memorials are suggested to the family's choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.

Born Jan. 12, 1977, in Odessa, Texas, she was the daughter of Elmer Franks Jr. and wife Ann of Odessa, Texas, and Lois Marie Brant Wiley and husband Paul of Lake Ozark. She had lived in Sedalia the two years, moving from Lake Ozark. She was a graduate of Camdenton High School. She was a dispatcher for Ditzfeld Trucking in Sedalia the last year.

Additional survivors include one brother, Robert Joseph Franks of Sweet Springs; one sister, Tracy Wiley of Lake Ozark; maternal grandparents, Melvin and Joyce Brant of Austin, Texas; stepgrandparents, James and Dorothy Wiley of rural Marshall; one niece, Emileigh Ryann Franks; one nephew, Jayden Wesley Price Radford; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Elmer and Belle Franks.
