Eddie L. Walker, 56, of Marshall, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall. Rev. Kenneth Randolph will officiate. Organist Ramona Bullington will accompany Cheryl Trelow as she sings "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art." Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Joe Bailey, Ronnie Baker, Silas Bradly, Clifton Huff, Dave Raines and Tom Vogl. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Bargfrede, John Huston, Elzie Napier, Shorty Pace, Glenn Stevens and Merle Trelow. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Marshall.
Born Aug. 4, 1947, in Truman, Ark., he was the son of the late Wilburn L. Walker and Lora M. Asher Walker, who survives of Marshall. On Nov. 19, 1971, he married Sue E. Rose, who survives of the home. He was a 1966 graduate of Malta Bend High School. He was employed at the Marshall Habilitation Center for many years before his retirement. He was a Marshall resident most of his life. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Marshall.
Additional survivors include two sons, Chad L. Walker and Willie K. Walker, both of Marshall; one daughter, Belinda L. Young of Paragould, Ark.; two brothers, Paul C. Walker of Pocahontas, Ark., and Johnnie K. Walker of Marshall; one sister, Barbara L. Butler of Waverly; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
