Robert M. Duffy Sr., 74, of Marshall, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Newcomer Cemetery in Brunswick. Memorials are suggested to the charity of donor's choice.
Born Nov. 5, 1928, in Ash Grove, he was the son of the late Charles L. Duffy and Jane Collier Duffy. On Jan. 31, 1953, he married Mildred L. "Micky" Pittman, who preceded him in death Feb. 1, 2003. He was a farmer and also worked for North American Rockwell Corp. and the U.S. Postal Service.
Survivors include three sons, Robert M. Duffy Jr. of Orrick, Charles Patrick Duffy of Marshall and James A. Duffy of Wichita, Kan.; one daughter, Michele Wood of Marshall; two sisters, Barbara Watkins of Springfield and Suzanne Poindexter of Omaha, Neb.; two brothers, Donald Duffy of Blue Springs and Danny Duffy of Cocoa, Fla.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Duffy.
