Mary Fern Lynch, 76, of Macks Creek, formerly of Saline County, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, at her home.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Rev. Paul Stephens will officiate. Pallbearers will be Shawn Lynch, Chris Lynch, Tim Lynch, Bill Price, Vernon Tresler and Shawn McGuire. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, Mid-Missouri Chapter.

Born July 2, 1927, in Herndon, she was the daughter of the late William Jackson Herndon and Susan Mary Farmer Herndon. On Feb. 27, 1949, she married J.W. Lynch, who preceded her in death July 6, 2003. She had lived in Macks Creek the past year, moving from Sweet Springs. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include three sons, Jim Lynch of Kansas City, Kan., Dale Lynch of Oak Grove and David Lynch of Macks Creek; one daughter, Margie Jenkins of Aurora; one sister, Lizzie Wyrick of Marshall; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Gary Lynch and Carl Lynch, and a sister.
