Jeremy Rea Borgman, 22, of rural Slater, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, in Saline County, as the result of an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Saline City. Rev. Mark Hass will officiate. Organist Gladys Gessling will play the congregational hymns "Lift High the Cross," "Let Us Ever Walk with Jesus" and "Abide with Me." Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Pallbearers will be Douglas Borgman, Tim Campbell, Bryan Leasure, Nathanial Foster, Matthew Foster and Austin Foster. Honorary pallbearers will be William Sylvester, Joe Barr, Eric Fann, Mark Kruse, John Kruse and Roy Foster. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Born Oct. 19, 1980, in Fayette, he was the son of Randy Borgman and Beth Kruse Borgman, who survive of the home. He had lived in rural Slater the last five years, moving from Holyoke, Colo. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Saline City, where he served as financial secretary. He had worked for Wick Buildings the last year and had worked for Fuqua Homes in Boonville. He was a 1999 graduate of Holyoke High School and received an associate's degree in construction from North Central Missouri College in Trenton in 2001.
Additional survivors include four sisters, Heather Hoffman and husband Justin of Albuquerque, Mary Borgman of the home, Amanda Borgman of the home and Andrea Borgman of the home; paternal grandmother, Arlene Borgman Biggs and husband Warner of rural Slater; maternal grandfather, Rev. Eugene Kruse of Gilliam; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gilbert Borgman, and maternal grandmother, Audrey Ann Johnson Kruse.
