Lady Vikings stopped on HAAC road

Senior Tiana Williams knocked in six of her 12 shots during the Lady Vikings' 3-0 Heart of America Conference loss at MidAmerica Nazarene.

OLATHE, Kan. -- The attempt by the Missouri Valley College women's volleyball team to move up in the Heart of America Conference standings took a blow Tuesday at Olathe, Kan.

The Lady Vikings registered a poor 17.6 hitting percentage, committing 16 attack errors, during a 30-28, 30-23, 32-30 loss to MidAmerica Nazarene (9-14, 2-4 HAAC).

Junior Shannon Adams laid down 12 shots and freshman Cassie Keenan had 10 kills and 13 digs for Valley, which also had more service faults than aces by a 10-4 margin.

Junior Stephanie Buboltz made 15 saves and senior Tiana Williams and junior Sara LeDuc combined for 13 kills for the Lady Vikings (13-9, 2-3), who host league foe William Jewell Thursday.
